Courage

Wonder what's across that hill?
(When we get there, then we'll see.)
Keep on moving just by will,
Can't stop 'til we reach the sea.
(Don't forget you're not alone,)
(Sometimes you push too hard, too fast.)
(You try to do this on your own,)
(Running to escape the past.)
Can't stop now, I gotta climb,
Be the one to lead the way,
Sleep and wonder all the time
If we'll meet the coming day.
(You know your strength, to face your fear,)
(To cross each gorge and climb each peak.)
(But strength is not the issue here-)
(Sometimes it's courage to be weak.)

Reliability

Oh my,
Oh dear.
How do I get myself into these things?
And when did I begin
To ignore the fear
And enjoy the rush adventure brings?
(Come on in, the water's fine!)
(Sometimes you have to just let go.)
(It's great to plan, and be the one)
(They all depend on, but you know)
(That sometimes you just have to say)
("To heck with it! Get underway!")

Friendship

(So easy just to walk away,)
(And keep all locked away inside.)
(We find our cover where we may.)
(Some camouflaged in stripy hide)
(And some pretending not to care.)
It hurts too much to be let down.
Most turn back when the walls are there-
Friends just go over, or around.
And here and now, I firmly swear
To be worthy of the friends I've found.

Hope

There's always a tomorrow
To make up for today.
(When we're lost, we'll find someone)
(To help us find our way.)
I know our friends will find us--
(Just wait a little more,)
(And hold on to each other--)
'Cause that's what friends are for.

Love

Wings of fire sweep the sky,
Wings of spirit lift me high.
(Two spirit flames that burn as one)
And ride the wind up to the sun!
(Seven hearts and seven souls,)
(A single destiny unrolls.)
Adventure calls and friendship glows
(And fourteen hearts but one path chose.)

Sincerity

(Wear a mask for all to see,)
Pierce it, and you look at me.
All the flaws and all the power,
(Like the bud that opens to a flower.)
(Heart too warm to go astray,)
(Smile and rise to greet the day.)
Though things are nice, still, in the end,
Better by far to have a friend.

Knowledge

Why?
(Why not?)
That isn't an answer!
(Sometimes it's all you've got.)
I have to know the answers.
There's so much left to learn.
(But don't forget the fire inside you)
(Needs more than that to burn.)
I know the world doesn't make sense,
But logic has its rules!
(But those who put it over heart)
(In all things-- they are fools.)

Light

(What am I?)
Who am I?
(Raised in the dark on a different track,)
Blind in the light, and I can't look back.
(Twisted and turned 'til I can't find my way,)
Lost among words that have nothing to say.
Feelings and powers I don't understand,
(Nothing's for sure but the touch of your hand.)
What am I?
(Who am I?)
